DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY MARCH 4, 1942

Cora and Elridge Myers on March 4, 2002
Sixty years as companions and friends has contributed to this success. The evening of March 4, 1942 holds an interesting story of a young couple along with Emma and Marshal Garbutt riding off to Mindemoya to tie the knot. The Myers farm on Ten Mile Point became their home and remains as an active farm still today, while they reside in the village of Sheguiandah. Farming has always been the main source of employment but as years have passed it is not unusual to see Elridge building or climbing a roof to help out others.
Cora has had an active interest in several organizations over the years but at the present time the Howland Senior Citizens have kept them both busy and active.
Cora and Eldridge have raised four children which in turn have blessed them with nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Each one looks up to them as a prime example that if you work hard enough and are willing to give and take a little, one can survive the rocky roads that life brings.
