“A SAD ACCIDENT RESULTS IN DEATH OF INFANT”

A sad accident occurred yesterday afternoon about 5:30 o’clock which resulted in the death of Mr. Robt. Griffith’s baby. Mrs. Gilbert, the grandmother of the child was wheeling the carriage along Proctor’s Hill when a runaway team with a heavy wagon dashed by. The wagon struck the carriage and threw the infant some distance away. As a result the child died at eleven o’clock last night and will be buried this aft. Mr. & Mrs. Griffith have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.”
